James Judson Biography

James Judson began performing at age five, and the very next year he won his first singing contest. As a teen growing up in Boulder, Colorado, James started playing local venues, weddings, and state fairs, dabbling in songwriting. It seemed music would most likely be his career, but in his mid-thirties, James reached a crossroads. He had decided to put music aside and focus on raising a family and starting a construction business. James locked his music and budding musical talent away for the next 30 years.

Six years ago, James reconnected with music through the encouragement of a close friend. Without any obvious reason, songs began flowing from dreams, which James has turned into reality.

This fall, James recorded a four-song Christmas EP, “It’s Christmas Eve Tonight," which was released the day after Thanksgiving 2025.

James composed his first vocal jazz album in the style of Frank Sinatra, Count Basie, and Quincy Jones, “Songs of My Dreams,” which was co-produced alongside Grammy-winning producer Tim Sonnefeld.
